Financial Assistance
For those potential registrants who are currently receiving Employment Insurance benefits, are laid off and are eligible for benefits or are permanently laid off, you may be eligible for financial assistance from Employment Ontario (Tel: 1-800-387-5656). To find out if you are eligible, you must have been assessed and assigned exams by the PEO for obtaining your license. None of the preparation courses for these exams is less than 12 weeks in duration with 3 hour sessions per week. With this information, you may contact your EI representative for assessment of your situation to see if you qualify for assistance. You will be advised by the EI representative about your eligibility and the procedure to apply for financial assistance.
Until your application for financial assistance is approved, EPIC will keep your name on the waiting list for the course. When approval is received, you will be registered and will be able to attend classes.
