Internationally Educated Engineers Bursary Program

The EPIC Educational Program Innovations Center Internationally Educated Engineers Bursary Program is designed to financially assist Internationally Educated Engineers in their pursuit of their professional engineering license.

How does the program work?

For those that qualify, the bursary program will award $500 to the candidate that takes an exam preparation program with EPIC and then writes and passes all of the associated PEO exams they have been assigned and have thus met all academic requirements of their P.Eng. license.

There are a limited number of awards available and the decision of who will be awarded the bursary is solely at the discretion of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC).  There are 3 awards available for each fall and winter term.

What are the criteria for being accepted?

The program is designed to help those based on performance on the exams.  To qualify, the candidate must:

  1. Be a landed immigrant who has resided in Canada for not more than three years;
  2. Have been advised by the Provincial Professional Engineering Association of the Province of residence of the need to pass a specific engineering licensing examination;
  3. Have taken and completed the courses from EPIC that prepares candidates for the licensing examinations and
  4. Have written and passed all the respective licensing examinations assigned and have met all academic requirements for their P.Eng. license.

  1. proof of EPIC PEO technical exam preparation registration,
  2. a copy of the document from the Provincial Professional Engineering Association indicating your having met all academic requirements for award of your P.Eng. license,
  3. a letter of support from your employer or a registered Canadian Professional Engineer
